HTML Code for Website Design

Are you in need of HTML code for website design? In this article, I’ll guide you through the key concepts of HTML and provide sample code snippets to kickstart your journey.

HTML code is the foundation for any website design, laying out the basic structure and elements that create a functional webpage. As a web designer, understanding HTML is essential, as it forms the foundation for structuring and displaying web content.

Building a Basic Website with HTML

HTML is a crucial tool used to create web pages, defining the structure and content of the webpage, enabling browsers to render it correctly.

1. HTML Structure

HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) provides the foundation of web pages. Her are the essential components:

<html>: The root element that wraps the entire document.

<head>: contains meta information (  e.g. title, links to stylesheets)’

<body>: Contains the visible page content.

2. Creating Headings and Paragraphs:

Use <h1> to <h6> for headings and <p> for pargraphs, for example:

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html>

<head>

<title> My sample Website </title>

</head>

<body>

<h1> Welcome to My Website <h1>

<p> This is a sample paragraph.</p>

</body>

</html>

3. Styling with CSS:

While HTML defines the structures, CSS ( Cascading Style Sheets) handles the design. You can link an external stylesheet or use inline styles within HTML.

4. Responsive Design:

To make your website look good on all devices, use responsive design techniques:

Set the viewport: Add the following <meta> tag to your web pages:

<meta name=”viewport”

content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0″>

Use responsive images: Set width: 100% or max-width: 100% for images.

Adjust text size: Use vw (viewport width) units for dynamic text scaling.
